Senior MWS Engineer                                    London – City                                    Up to £80,000

Our client, an established Marine, Offshore and Engineering Consultancy, seeks a Senior MWS Engineer.

The purpose of the role will be to support the Marine Warranty department in all aspects of the function including managing projects, reviewing engineering documents related to offshore and subsea construction and to attend on board vessels to approve operations as required.

• Deliver engineering, MWS and other consultancy projects to meet quality and budget expectations.
• Review engineering documentation produced by contractors for MWS projects.
• Undertake independent calculations when needed to verify the calculations submitted.
• Attend operations on board vessels or at construction sites, review and approve changes and issue certificates of approval as required.
• Participate in HSE awareness and contribute to recording of statistics.
• Provide technical guidance to and mentor junior technical staff.

The role would suit a practical engineer looking to broaden their skills across a wide range of disciplines and has an interest in helping operations develop from the drawing board to execution.

The successful candidate will have a degree qualification in Naval Architecture or related discipline, have previous experience working with the Marine industry and be familiar with structural design and / or hydrodynamic design procedures
