Banking Operations Manager London Up to £60,000
Our client, an established business within the banking industry, is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to oversee the delivery of key operational functions across their London branch.
This role is central to ensuring the smooth running of middle and back-office operations, while maintaining the highest standards of regulatory compliance, risk management and service quality.
Reporting to the COO, the Operations Manager will lead a small team and take ownership of critical processes including cash management, payments, reconciliations, system oversight and outsourced operational activities. This is a hands-on leadership role requiring strong technical knowledge, exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a regulated environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee cash management, custodial duties, and transactional processing
- Ensure full compliance with regulatory requirements and internal controls
- Manage outsourced operations and monitor service provider performance
- Lead and develop an Operations team, driving efficiency and high standards
- Support Treasury operations and ensure accurate reconciliation of accounts
- Oversee account opening/closing processes and payment cut-off compliance
- Contribute to system testing, upgrades and process improvements
- Identify and mitigate operational risks, ensuring robust governance
The successful candidate will have at least six years’ banking operations experience, strong regulatory understanding, excellent stakeholder management skills and proven team leadership abilities.
